Skunk Removal
Skunks are the infamous black and white stripe we all know and that terrible smell we are so familiar with. Skunks dig under decks, sidewalks, buildings and any other settled out area they can get into. Skunks will breed in late January and have young in mid spring. Baby skunks will start to emerge from the den in mid-May. Although the young are cute, they can spray just like the adults. They are more likely to spray because they are easily startled. We have special traps and techniques to ensure that when we are removing skunks, they will not spray.
Armadillo Removal
Armadillos are becoming more and more prevalent in our area. They are insectivores that can dig hundreds of small holes in a yard in a single night. They have a hard shell made out of the same thing our fingernails are made from. They are the only mammal who has a lower body temperature than 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Leprosy has been studied in armadillos but they do not all have it (urban legend). They can have it because of the lower body temperature. The female releases one egg that divides into four separate embryos and she gives birth to four identical young each spring. Armadillos are den dwelling animals. They are primarily nocturnal and will invade yards during the hot, dry times of the year when it is harder for them to find food.
Bird Control
Bird control is a very broad range of services. We do anything from removing starlings from exhaust fan vents to commercial netting, landing-deterrent installation and trapping. Birds like pigeons, starlings and sparrows are known to nest and roost on commercial buildings and in unwanted places, creating a mess from all their droppings and nesting materials. Birds can also bring health concerns to areas where food is being processed or where humans may come in contact directly with them. Woodpeckers are another common bird we deal with. They peck holes in wood-sided homes and we have techniques to keep them from doing so.
